Quatrieme ami 2.35 Haydock. Reappeared at York in August after a very successful winter on the Aw. I'm hoping the ceiling of his ability isn't reached yet. Will probably be geared towards the big AW sprints over winter again but at 25/1 I couldn't resist a nibble.

My bets [1pt on each @ BOG]

1.50 Wincanton-Deserter @ 6-4 [Bet 365]
2.40 Fakenham-Alyasan @ 2-1 [Ladbrokes]
3.10 Haydock-Father Bertie @ 15-2 [Bet Bright]
3.25 Redcar-Glorious Legend @ 9-2 [Bet 365]
4.25 Fakenham-Keltus @ 5-2 [Skybet]
4.55 Haydock-Cool Climate @ 11-2 [Bet 365]
5.30 Haydock-Talent To Amuse @ 9-2 [Bet 365]

Think I'll have another crack at Flying Pursuit in the sprint handicap at Haydock. Ran well from poor draws at Ayr and Ripon and his stall today looks okay. Double figure odds available in a couple of places.

Rely On Me (Haydock 2.00) Currently available at 25/1 available.
By all accounts she is a nice filly who has been doing some nice work. She will improve for the run but they think she is capable of going well first time out at a big price. One to keep an eye on anyway.

Thanks Ricko. No idea whether stats back this up (EC?) but I've always had Balding down as a trainer whose 2yos don't often win FTO and improve markedly for the run.

The only bet for me is HOTFILL in the 4:55 at Haydock. Could be anything this one. Ran 2nd at 50/1 in a maiden at Newcastle, where the 3rd and 4th horses who finished in close proximity behind him have both won since, making Hotfill look quite well handicapped off 70. At 14/1 I'll take my chance.
14's into 6's, so I'm not alone!

usually best on 2nd start..particularly if placed 2nd or 3rd FTO

at the price though..2nd or 3rd would be good placer..then get on it next time out

4:20 Despite carrying top weight, Stanghow isn't awfully handicapped, dropping from 86 to 85 in the handicap. This means he can run in class 4 company, against the class of opposition he's shown no problem disposing of.
Could run at Pontefract on Monday in the 5:10, Pat Cosgrave booked to ride, see if this materialises!

thanks Treff + TC + whoever else wishes well

i have run this through a calculator..if last one wins at even..its £5761..if stake is 5 a bet..but 4 timer is only 3 quid..so you weren't far out Benny,,about 5k

at mo its 1851....which is...many meals ..cat food and guinneses..which is all that matters to me at this point:)

Only just seen this. Well done sir, nice to see.

But please rethink how you'll spend it, cat food and Guinness is not a proper diet.

Great day out for me at Haydock - hate this to sound like aftertiming but I did call it up front, just glad I put the multiple on this morning online in case I changed my mind on course

Edit can't see that pic bit is three Kingscote doubles - Four Dragons 11/2, Eartha Kitt 10/3 & Brogan 5/1

Pleased for you mate, well done. I've put 40 quid each way on Dream Walker in the Balmoral tomorrow, seems a big price, could he run well, or have I totally lost the plot?

2.10 Market Rasen-Pink Play @ 3-1 [William Hill]
2.35 Ascot-Seventh Heaven @ 15-8 [Bet 365]

Stratford 3.15 No Likey has dropped back to a workable mark after being hit hard by the handicapper for his win here in the spring and showed signs of a return to form last time
Garde la Victoire looks well treated in his return to hurdles and can take the Welsh Champion Hurdle

Apologies guys, slowly away and never showed. Obviously most 2yos improve for a run but yes Balding's are generally ones to be on 2nd time out.

Well done on some good info lately EC, nice to see you back.

thanks Ricko..have dutched Sheikhzayedroad + Quest for More in the 1.25 to kick the day off

have shoved a yankee on these
