2010 Two year olds

I said the same as you earlier on this thread ... he looks an absolute machine, and I look forward to seeing him next time he runs.

I will give up racing if that is in a listed or conditions race :p ... he is more than ready for some Group races, and haven't seen anything yet that Godolphin should be worried about.

Looks very very promising Aragorn - looked top drawer for his debut but was certainly ready for it as proven by the market support on the day.

Keen to see where they go with Neebras next as I was very impressed with his Goodwood victory and got the impression he rather threw his chance away late on at Newmarket.

Is Neebras the horse that finised 3rd to the Cecil colt LTO? If it is he was a real eye catcher staying on when he looked cooked.

Saamid
good prospect , scope , difficult to know the form
I have the feeling he is a group horse posting a high 90s in debut

about Pathfork
I was backing Bolgers horse the other and I can not see the form being reversed.
Pathfork dominated and has more scope.

Dream Ahead
good 2yo with scope but on pedigree and style looks a sure sprinter and will not stay the mile.

I can see why he might be a sprinter on his style of racing but on breeding he has every chance of getting a mile.

Pathfork was very good on Saturday and gave the impression he'd have been very well suited by a stronger pace as did Native Khan at Sandown. The bare form of the Solario is nothing special at all but Native Khan did it well.

The juvenile fillies aren't getting much of a look-in on this thread but I'm interested to see that Theyskens' Theory is entered in the Prestige at Goodwood on Saturday. She won her maiden impressively at Newmarket recently in a good time and the form has been franked since.

Anyone thinking of backing Pathfork for the Guineas should be aware that an article in today's Post has the owners talking in terms not only of the Breeders' Cup but also the Kentucky Derby.

Godolphin snapping him up is more of a threat to his Guineas chances!

I have sleepless nights over the same fate meeting Dunboyne Express.

She's streets ahead of the others on my figures, had a heavy Antepost investment for me (promised myself this is the last time I bother with Antepost betting if it doesn't net a profit this year).

Laughing Lashes would be her biggest danger.

How will Memory handle any possible ease in the ground at The Curragh on Sunday?

Memory's Dam Nausicaa won the Prix De La Lorie at Longchamp over 1m on Vsoft and the Sire Danehill Dancer won a G3 on g/soft as a 3yo although he didn't race on ground with soft in the description as a 2yo, he did win the G1 National Stakes at the Curragh on good ground and his progeny have a proven record on soft. Looks bred for the job.

Thanks for that - exactly what I wanted to know (regarding her Dam) as I do not think it should impact on her changes too much based on the Danehill Dancer influence.

Date with Destiny goes for the Prestige too .

Really liked her FTO performance - She looks a lot like her dad as well!!!! Same colour coat and similar facial markings... And she travelled like a dream. Should be an informative race.

Glor Na Mara entered up on Sunday again....good old Jimbo.

Sure they win nothing in the box! Would he run him there and the National in a fortnight? Looks a decent Round Tower. In fact, it's a decent card with Aviate, Lush Lashes etc. in the Dance Design and 17 British trained horses in the Flying Five. What price would Sole Power have been in that if he hadn't gone to York?!

Would be wary of AP punting on Theysken's Theory - the owner is an American businessman/solicitor who had a filly with a similar profile a couple of years ago in Joffe's Run (beaten on debut, won impressively in a Maiden, went into group company). JR ended up running in what was to become the Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf but was well beaten after playing up and was moved to the US permanently for her 3yo campaign.

He also transferred his filly Icon Project to the US at the end of her 3yo season and she went on to win a Grade 1 the following year whilst Liberally, Rag And Bone and First Passage (again after her 3yo season) all transferred to US trainers too.

For anyone interested the green and pink colours are the former colours of the owners father - US businessman Carl Rosen who owned the great racemare Chris Evert amongst others in the early 70's.

I would be surprised if Glor Na Mara ever got closer to Pathfork in similar conditions - just a better horse and looks to have more scope.

Having watched it again, I'd be willing to go against the grain and disagree if there is a big enough discrepancy in the market next time on the basis of the Futurity run alone.

That said, it all depends on which of Glor Na Mara, Pathfork or Zoffany progresses the most, as I would have relatively little between them on form at this stage. Have you had a chance to see the three of them in the flesh?

Seeharn wont run with the going.

Confirmed today by Kevin Predergast:

The trainer has ruled Seeharn, who had been a 12-1 shot for the race, as a non-runner.

Prendergast also had an update on unbeaten Jebel Ali Stables & Racecourse Anglesey Stakes winner Dunboyne Express, who could run in the Racing Post Trophy on October 23. He continued: "Dunboyne Express got an infection and is only just back in work. I hope to get him ready for either the National Stakes or the Racing Post Trophy."

Keeping my eye on Giant Step at Tipperary today for the Wachman/Magnier team.

Disappointing. The winner looked quite nice. I wonder will these Sheikh Mo horses (Marnane's I think goes on Sunday in the Round Tower) stay with their trainers next season or go off to Godolphin?
