Flat Season 2012 - An Attempt To Profit Maximize

I apologize to anyone that I've upset but I wish that this thread will remain because I do like posting my thoughts on here regardless of what criticism that comes my way.

I'm not sure what I've done to upset so many as I can't find the problem in this thread anyway - may we all try and get along together because I'm avoiding the topic to save getting into a long winded argument because this forum is not what that's about!

Now...

Looking for Kinloch Castle to come in for a big double :ninja:

Would be nice if Jeannie Galloway comes in!

I think she could be a 5f horse but has great times at Musselburgh...

Bruce, on a serious note you don't need to proof every bet with what you're doing on betfair. I know you feel this vindicates you but you will pile more pressure on yourself, and should settle for just posting up your selections (with points?) like most of us mugs.:)

Fair point Marb - I remain an avid passive member here, and the quality of debate/banter is always good. I should post more, but find that it's only when riled that I'm moved to do so. I will attempt to remedy that.

View me as your editor Rory. I want strong opinions, based on your pinsticking talent, on the classic winners this year. Please:)

Hey Marble,

No more bets will be posted.

Surely the fact you're that bothered by it means you find it of interest SteveM?

I asked the question giving Bruce the benefit of the doubt that there may be something real behind this. As he continues to elude attempts to clarify his methodology/rationale we can but draw our own conclusions.

It's clear to me he is taking us for a bunch of idiots. This is where my "interest" begins and ends.

Bit too early to show signs of results but I'll try to show you using the opening card at The Curragh this season.

Positive Speed
Step up in trip, testing course OR testing Ground

Negative Speed
Step down in trip AND testing course OR testing Ground

Positive Stamina
Step down in trip, Easier course OR Faster Ground

Negative Stamina
Step up in trip AND Easier course or Faster Ground

Dawn Approaches race showed that horses will be suited for a step up in trip, three horses have run over 5f again and all losing.

Redoutable's race showed that horses will be suited for a step down in trip but there has only been three horses to run from the race all stepping up in trip and losing.

Croisultan's race showed that horses will be suited for a step down in trip, there has been six runners from the race that have either run over 6f or over further all have lost.

Amira's Prince race also showed that horses will be suited for a step down in trip, there has been 4 runners since that have run over the same trip or further, the second horse Speaking of Which won.

Anything else I can help with?

Why on earth would I sit here and talk a load of garbish if I didn't feel it meant something credible?

Just wait until the season unfolds, I'm not quite sure where all this hostility is coming from.

Get a grip.

I think what we want to know is, to take the above as an example, why you believe that all 30 runners in the 3-y-o maiden at the Curragh will be worth following over 5f, and what it was that led you to such an astonishing conclusion based on information which you haven't shared.

I know Aston's not the finest university in the world, but is that the best you can come up with?

Enlighten me on what I was "supposed" to come up with?

I made my intentions clear at the beginning of this thread that this would be somewhere to post some selections on the Flat Season with a goal in target.

Explain to me where I've meant to have come up with some ground breaking idea and show me where I've unearthed a new scientific method of analyzing though bred performance?

It's just a way of using terms to express the information displayed on my screen and through my formulas, if you can't accept the terminology or the way I do things then I suggest you leave the thread for your own personal health - it's quite clear some of you are getting wound up.

You sir are quite clearly mistaken in your approach and expect a full apology in good time.

Well firstly the plural of formula is formulae rather than formulas, but don't let a good bit of English get in your way. After all you could wipe the floor with everyone on here. Anyway, you're not describing a formula, you're describing a method (quite different) unless you've actually come up with your own formula. I understand you don't want to divulge your 'trade secrets' on here so perhaps you'd be more at ease discussing them over a pint in the B4 bar, or are you too busy with that 8,500 word dissertation, Professor Savage?

Congratulations you've finally broke a man down into pieces.

I just can't fight this no more, I really don't have the heart or will power to keep going on through this constant barrage of abuse.

I'm done, and yes it has actually got me quite down lately but hey ho.

Catch some of you around maybe.

No pint in the B4 then? I needed something to do on Wednesday night, but if you don't fancy it then I'll have to find other entertainment.

Well that was a cracking start with only winner having a 30% reduction minus the £1.50 for the lay at 1.05 - I had a return of 10.65pts giving me a loss on the day 0f 19.35pts and a bank of 80.65pts :(

Whats the reason you are mentioning a place in relation to this thread? If thats actually a place where Bruce does drink then personally I think you are totally out of order, assuming he hasn't already mentioned this on here himself, and it comes across as a bit confrontational.

Bruce, I don't pretend to always be able to follow your logic but I do find your thread fairly interesting. Please don't stop. Too many bandwagon jumpers looking to score easy points in a pathetic attempt to 'impress' their peers. Stick at it and feck the begrudgers.

I too have found this thread interesting, but it's the numbers attached to these criteria that I don't understand.
