Forum horse connections

To the full? He had to be escorted out of the winning connections suite, with an elderly retainer trying to wrest two bottles of champagne from his grasp. Really, you just can't take some people anywhere - even Lingfield!

Delighted with Sail Home, only have a small share in her and didn't go today but showed that she could be a useful purchase by Julia and certainly has races in her. Could go back to Southwell and could even get further than 1m3f in time.

I'd be ecstatic, Gamla! Really lovely show from her - smartly out of the stalls, behaved beautifully for Ross and didn't mess him around, straight as a die down the straight, picked up, loved the dirt. Really, really likeable, and a very distinctive face marking, so you can pick her out against ordinary stripes and blazes! Julia is such a nice person and so hard-working, too, so she deserves to have one with some real promise.

Cheers Kri, hoping to get up to Newmarket in the next few weeks to see her so will get some photos then!

Would think Julia could improve her a fair bit too so lots to look forward to I think!

I have to confess to standing in the bookies and watching this race today - very impressed and I think you'll be having some great fun with her Gamla - good luck.

Love to see the photos in due course, Gamla. In fact, isn't it time we set up a photo gallery of all the forum horseys? There are loads now, enough to fill a fair-size yard!

have i mentioned that bonfire´s sister has gone into training backend of last year? she is two now, and naturally just starting with the basics, but trainer very pleased with her, laid back, quick learner and easy to handle. bonfire, meanwhile, is having his holidays again, with TLC, a state-of-the-art treadmill, solarium, etc., 5Star-hotel, so to say.

good luck to all, bar Frank, want The Tatling to get his head his front this time! ;)

My gelding Kikos underwent a breathing op yesterday. Op was performed by Geoff Lane who i'm told is the top man in these matters. We're hoping that this will allow him to see out his races and if it works we think he could be well handicapped off 113. Should return in the spring when the ground gets better.

If it works for Nicholls brigades of chasers I don't see why it can't work for us!!!

Kimberlite King returned from the vets yest and is on anti-inflamatories for sessamoid swelling. Back in training next week.

Raise The Beat has no-where to run in Ireland until 20 Feb!!

Tropical View suffered a fractured cannon bone before crimbo so is off for two months.

Wilde At Heart (our new Oscar) will be going for an away gallop this week or next, then on a break for a month. Growing up. Nice horse.

What is wrong with bringing him across to England Cantoris? Too expensive?

Good to see there was something which could explain KK's last run - looked too bad to be true.

Hmmmmm....sounds familiar!! Just make sure that your trainer doesn't recommend selling Kikos in a few weeks, before he's had a chance to run, saying the wind op hasn't worked......then watch him sell for 1/7th the price you paid for him before he wins four races in short succession, one a televised race on Ch4.......:ninja:

:lol::lol: Feeling nostalgic, I see.

Good luck, Aragorn, I hope it works out.

To be honest........your prizemoney is sh*t!!

There is a graded race for him in Newbury at the start of Feb. Worth £10k. There's a bumper for him a week later in Naas worth €14k and one in April worth €28k. That's nearly as much as the Aintree bumper.

On the plus side, we would get better ground which would suit.

Home bred not owned, of course but now confirmed FAREER travels to Dubai, which is probably the last we'll see of him. Have known this was the plan for some time since he went off to be gelded at Shadwell but at least they've stuck to this one. Hope he likes the climate!!

He looks exactly the type to win decent races in Dubai. I still think Dunlop made a mess of his season - he should have been better placed to win a Group 3 instead of lumping top weight in the Hunt Cup.

He can run in a bumper?

Do you know what mark he would run off in the UK? If favourable, the trip could yet be worthwhile.

wow, will be a hell of a job to follow all forum horses. lets hope for a successfull 2011.

@ Kri: Bonfire´s sister is called BELTAINE FIRE. She will run in slightly different colours to him as well, those of Stall Lone Ranger, as did our little star Spontano. Will be emotional to see them back on a horse. Oh, and she is in training with Christian Sprengel, like big bro. christian reports her to be the much nicer character of the two ....
