Novice Chasers 2011-12

Full marks to Fist who has been on this like the proverbial stink on **** from the offset. 9/4 before the race for the Arkle looks like the price of a lifetime now. Peddlers who?

Savage. Fair play to those who have nice prices. I was this* close to backing him at 9/4 ante post before the race.

* I am holding my thumb and index finger very close together.

How close?

I have a semi after that. That was superb. I had a small bet at 9/4 the other day and now will be going in again at 6/4. My festival will hinge around this horse now id imagine.

Good point. Come to think of it I'd run him in the CC the opposition wouldn't know what hit them and I do think SE is a very good 2 miler.
6/4 is with VC so no chance of getting on a really big bet

The first to say "but what did he beat" gets a big slap!! That was unreal - -he was still fly jumping between the last two FFS. Cannot understand why he is odds against for the Arkle. Donald McCain has stained his tweeds!!

I'm not up on times etc but is it right that he beat race record?

Peddlers has more chance champion hurdle route.

Anyone on Twitter follow George Baker and look at the photo he has put up of Sprinter jumping the Ditch!! Look where he took off from!!

Liked the way he shortened into the last when BJ didn't want a big one, that will stand him in good stead around Cheltenham. Super lepper as Ted would say! However, he is very headstrong...he couldn't keep a hold of him early on and had to let him stride out. There is a vast difference between Sandown and the undulations of Cheltenham. They may take their toll if he is right up there. I can see Peddlers and Al Ferof being fairly close at the line.

Putting aside the sensibilities of AP punters...I would forget the Arkle and go CC route with him. It wasn't the strongest ever G2 but he was playing with them. I missed his first race so had just let the hype wash over me but that - that is a serious, serious horse.
