Novice Chasers 2019/20

You can scratch Pym now. It was an educated call but jumped like a pig and was never travelling. If he goes RSA think you’ll get whatever price you want

Couldn't have gone any worse !!! Pym Hated the ground and never went a yard today. Surprised to see Sam Brown struggle as badly, considering he should have loved the ground.

Very very disappointing. Be lucky if Pym even runs in the RSA now [emoji3525]

Pym awful with the writing on the wall after the first. Danny Whizzbang very disappointing also

Ground was bottomless today. Not sure how many gears he has. Might get tapped for toe in an RSA on decent ground. I'd be leaning NHC myself.

You could say the same of most Irish novices annually.

His price is long gone beyond what would interest me but for a young horse to race like that yesterday impressed me.

Throw in the trainer and his record with staying chasers.if they take in Cheltenham and don't avoid, that is a good clue in itself

Really like his attitude, seems to be very genuine and has guts. Wouldn't mind seeing him in the RSA in a month's time.

It's interesting isn't it. He looks very good but wouldn't you rather have something that's run well at the Festival already in their hurdling days. So many recent frame horses - Topofthegame, Santini, Delta Work, Percy, Monalee came from that route. I think only Lord Windermere and Might Bite of recent winners didn't run over hurdles the previous Festival.

Willie appears to be sending his entire stable to the Marsh.

Allaho however goes RSA - although that's always subject to change with him.

From ATR Re Allaho

Mind, there are plenty of people here that think he might be better suited to be Marsh, as he can be a bit keen. His next few bits of work will be crucial, as if he gets a bit lit up by his work, the temptation to go for the shorter race will be there

Have taken 50/1 Saint Sonnet for the Marsh Chase. Runs in the 3.10 Fontwell on Tuesday. Currently rated 145 after winning 4/8 chases in France. Would be a real interesting runner for the festival given how shallow the novice chasers pool looks this year. Not hard to see him win well on Tuesday and end up single figures on the day.

Ah no it wouldn't be me. Nicholls has been quoted insinuating he has backed it. If he mentions it on Luck On Sunday in the morning it could get stupid short but 50/1 or 40/1 or even 33/1 worth an interest.
