Foret and Cadran normally worth sticking round for to be fair.

UK firms pricing of Cadran is usually a joke (Whack Times Up or some other boat in at 5/2) and can be exploited plus Moonlight Cloud and Viztoria amongst some other good entries in the Foret this year; should be a decent race.

The Japanese horse Stellar Wind, travelling companion of Kizuna, will not run in the Arc. He goes for the Prix Dollar the day before with Take riding again.

A definitive runner in the Arc is the Brazilian Going Somewhere who finished fourth in the Prix Foy.
 
Looking mainly dry in the run up to the weekend, but how much rain Saturday ?

I will be there, I arrive by Euro train in Paris at 10 ish, never been so not sure how to get there.
 
A taxi from Gare du Nord to Longchamp takes 25 minutes and costs about €22. If the taxi queue at the station is long, turn left and walk a short distance to the Hotel Richmond where you will find another rank. Alternatively, take the Metro, getting off at Porte Maillot or Porte d'Auteuil and then hopping on a free bus for the final leg. It might be worth booking a cab in advance to get you back into the city after racing.
 
There should be plenty of people on that Eurostar on Sunday morning who will share a cab with you too. Look for anyone with a Racing Post.

If you go by Metro, the quickest way is to walk to La Chapelle metro station through Gare Du Nord and take line 2 to Charles De Gaulle Etoile (Destination Porte Dauphine) and then change onto Line 1 for 2 stops to Porte Maillot (Destination La Defense) and there is a free bus from there to the course.

You can also take the RER to Chatelet and then take line 2 to Porte Maillot from there but if you don't know Paris well and are short on time, I would avoid Chatelet. It's also a khazi.

Hamm might be able to improve on these efforts though!

A bit weird there's no pacemakers entered? Unless they plan on ragging Kingsbarns or Leading Light.
 
You could certainly make a case for Leading Light being sacrificed at the Camelot altar. Joseph won't be able to do the weight on the former, and the latter must surely perform better over a strongly run 12f than he has so far this season.
Would play into Novellist's hands also, though.
 
A couple of points about the Arc:

The weather has been generally nice enough this week in Paris - grey-ish, and mild (I ate outside till midnight Monday evening).

I've re-watched this a couple of times. At the prices, you could argue Flintshire (if ground quicker) and Ocovango at 14s and 33s might be the value horses from the Niel.

Ocovango is a funny one. I thought he got an awful ride in the Derby, and was clearly fairly beaten by Flintshire in the GP de Paris. But, his last run was full of promise and if the ground did happen to deteriorate, he could well be worth an e/w bet at 33s.
