7swith a run is a great price.Today was Energumene's second run in 2 years.
Expect better at the Festival, and I've taken the 7/1.
I must admit Ii underestimated him....very impressiveTook me a while to warm to Jonbon, but really like him now. Proper horse.
And how many Champion Chases has he won?I must admit Ii underestimated him....very impressive
That might be as good as Energumene is these days, at the age of 11. It’s also the furthest Jonbon has ever beaten Edwardstone.
Or Il est Francais…Edwardstone's OR is 163. Jonbon has beaten him 11lbs.
174 is a decent rating - I think he'll go up to 175 on Tuesday - but it's a fair bit below Altior, Shishkin and Sprinter Sacre.
For the record, I had Jonbon on 178 going into yesterday's race and I also believe Edwardstone is some way better than 163 so I do think the form is better than the bare bones but it still points to Energumene being off his peak.
Isn't there a doubt of sorts about Jonbon at Cheltenham? If so, it could end up Energumene's to lose.
Unless Sir Gino rocks up in it...
Think you're under-estimating WPM,BJ.Jonbon won’t be beaten.
He's won 3 at the track, which favours speed much more than CheltenhamHe's won a Melling. Stamina is hardly an issue.
Without Constitution Hill and El Fabiolo he would have won a Supreme and an Arkle. He's won 3 at the track, which favours speed much more than Cheltenham
