Unexposed types to watch.

I think we are right to be keeping an eye on this fellow but his pedigree suggests he won't much like today's expected soft going. His sire Chevalier is by Danehill, whose progeny as a rule do best on faster ground, and his dam is by Sinndar, who had a similar preference.

Aland Islands looked a useful type winning the first division of the bumper at Exeter today. He looks one for the future, a grand stamp of a horse who will make a chaser in time. In the second division of the bumper I was taken with Swaling which, although looking a little barmy, travelled supremely well throughout the race only to for greenness to take over when a question was asked on the run in where he ran all over the place and hung away from the whip, as well as well as hanging dramatically away from the whip of the winner. With a bit more race experience he might just be ok.

There was plenty of money around for Aland Island this morning SL - 6/4 into as low as 1/2 on the early prices and chased home by two rags, someone knew about AI (or the opposition at least).

Yes, I thought those two were very taking, too. SWALING definitely ran as described above and was really boggle-eyed at the winner's jockey waving a whip near his eyeball - thought he'd tank off across the track for a second to escape it, but he stuck with the effort and did run with credit.

The Tatkin

Exeter today drifted 65/1 on exchanges 25/1 normal ran up with pace until 3 out then nursed home no whip and a tender ride even for Scu:whistle:

Only ran in a bumper before this so could be one for the future

Ryton Runner - drawn wide in a Doncaster maiden over 10f - having his 3rd run and jockey not hard on him - I think he'll prove to be the best horse to come out of this field and a step up to 1m4f - 1m6f looks ideal.

Should probably have posted this earlier - but it should make a few grin anyway. Cantlow looks a beast worth following and should improve for fences. He's a right three mile chaser in the making.

I hope he goes through unsold as they put a reserve of £2m on him - last thing we want is him turning up at Howard Johnsons, Hendersons or Nicholls :(

Hope the Callaghan's take him home and race him over hurdles themselves (this is probably a 66/1 chance).

To answer the question given how he's performed so far 200k+ would be about right.

Dont think the Callaghans need the money, so I wouldnt be surprised if they did keep the horse.
No he's on the County football panel I think and is Gordon Elliott's landlord so imagine they aren't short of a few bob.

Would keep an eye on their other horses Louisiana Gift when they put him in a handicap.

To be honest I'm surprised that Mount Benbulben didn't get a mention in the preview of ex-pointers on the p2p.ie site - he's certainly the most exciting horse in the sale for mine, even taking into account his age.

Hes a former player, now a selector with Meath. Dont get paid for that IS! I believe he made his money in property, and any gamble from the Elliot yard, Mr Callaghan isnt too far behind it.
