What are you backing Today?

just like I was completely happy backing Greispel on the phone last night only to find out this morning I hadn't........I think it's because we are both very worried that some cunning German Lady is taking advantage of poor Del Boy over in Spain....:rolleyes:

I think you're right. I laid back the most of my bet in the 3.20 at 2.3 so it was a lovely rob but I'd have been happier had both won!

Fantastic run and desperately unlucky for Royal Scoundrel there. Looked all over the winner turning in.

6.20 Kempton

Dressed In Lace is the best of those after the fav and at 12.0 is a cracking bet. The fav Dancheur looks like a struggler on sire stats on the AW.

Chineur progeny on AW
6f = 1/53
Kempton = 2/52

well the layers have had a torrid time in the last half hour..glad i had a walk down by the gas works and popped into the slipper baths on my way home;)

Have you watched the video of that Thirsk run? Amazing to think at the top of the straight that he finishes 4th.

Returns going on Rumh in the 8.00 Kempton. handicapper given big chance, an uncontested lead for Dettori up for grabs, and dominating these rather than pacemaking for Blue Nunting will be more up her street. Pedigree looks good for stamina, by Monsun, out of a dam who was related to Ardross.

Guesser.

Old Hundred is 2 from 2 round here and is supposed to be in good nick, he does nowt in front so will need to be produced late. 6's is fair imo

Trainer in hot form as well but I'm going for 3 minimum win bets on the 3 outsiders Bobbyscott, Ascalon and Bowdler's Magic - the first two have been off injured for 2years or more and had easy comebacks, both were rated about a stone better at their best before injury and the other is a Mark Johnson horse who often run well when least expected. Thats my crazy logic :lol:

2 very nice picks Mr Johnson - wish I had studied this thread a bit closer after logging on :( Well done!!

Now to complete the humiliation - I have decided that the form of My Son Max's close beating of Ducal over 7f in May is the best on offer - two good runs followed over 7f at Newmarket and all 3 runs earned comments "ran on well," "stayed on" and "nearest finish." So hopefully the extra furlong will help.

32.0 win & 4.6 place at the moment - finger on button :blink::lol:

Bit of an early gamble in the 4.10 at Yarmouth tomorrow
Operation Tracer opened 25/1 into 10's with most bookies now
No idea why, but thought I would point it out

Inishmot Duchess is 11lb better off with Man of Erin the favourite in the 7:30 at Leopardstown from their Fairyhouse run and thats before Colin Keane takes off a further 7lb. Her dam was a Leopardstown specialist having won there on three or four occasions and she herself ran very well there first time back this year before tiring late. Her only win was on slightly better ground over 6F at Cork but hopefully with a little bit of drying today it won't inconvenience her too much. A certain agent has made numerous calls to secure the ride for a prominent jockey who has ridden her recently but connections have decided to claim instead. With any luck in running she will surely make the three and at 9/1 is a proper EW bet.

Just want to ask where do you guys think you want to be drawn in the real betting race on Saturday, The Old Newton Cup at Haydock?

Dreamspeed has a high draw. Balding is a deadly trainer on his day and fired in more winners than I've had hot breakfasts lately.
