Overton Lad off 74 usually runs its race.. in the 4.50

clock is a bit fast on here..posted this at 4.47

Ran into an unexposed 15yo! Jesus I couldnt believe it when he said the horse was 15... Overton lad tried hard all the way though.

Have had a bet on Silver Shuffle in the 5.05 at Navan at 7/1 and Tislaam in the 5.30 Nottingham.

Silver Shuffle stopped at a critical point of the race, may have given the winner something to do. Interesting in similar conditions again.

I've got to LAY Sunrise Dance at odds on in the 6:10 - clearly the best horse in the race but 6 runs without a win and on the go since May - Drawn 11 / 11 in a 5f race - I've got to take it on.

Last bet of the day Mr Knightley e/way - I was impressed with his run over 7f l/t/o at the course but this is a harder race and 1f further but the 16/1 has tempted me.

Navan today looks interesting to say the least. Hidden Universe at 13/8 looks a super price...was expecting a shade of odds on. Possible all is not well, but you pay your money and take your chance! He may well win at around 2/1 so guaranteed prices a must!

The fillies and colts maidens look very informative. O'Brien is mob handed with beautifully bred thoroughbreds...I like the look of Wickham Street in the colts and the filly out of Gwynn in the fillies maiden. Demi O'Byrne paid a lot for another out of Gwynn there at Goffs last week so that may be significant. Maybe not either! The market will be hugely significant...usually a decent colt wins the C&G maiden.

Good stuff trefflich - 9/4 hope you went in again.

Four small win bets for me today

Ashwaat - ran very green f/t/o/and had a very high knee action so I'm hoping like his sire Authorized he will relish the heavy ground and trip. 9/1 has tempted me.

Tweedledrum - as explained in the Tom Symonds new trainer thread

Flipping - relishes heavy ground and travells so well in it - comes here fresh and with a new trainer but had a recent run to brush off the cobwebs - stamina may be an issue at first attempt over 10f but price offsets the risk.

And He's Dreaming 9/4 - trainer says "Very well fancied when 1st time out but nothing went to plan, put a line through the run. He is a lot better than that and will be winning a bumper before going hurdling." Another from my mate Chris's book.

Chef, can you pass on the name of your buddy's book? Looks interesting.

I sent him a message for the name of the book - I'll let you know if he replies.

The horses so far were:

Tweedledum
And He's Dreaming
Songe - when he gets soft ground
Max Bygraves
Aikman
Grandads Horse
Rossmore Lad

The books called Jumping Prospects

Fridays runners mentioned are:

Timesawastin 1.50 - won 4/11

Barrison & Jimbill 5.10 - 2nd 15/2 & won 1/3

Loden 2.10 - pulled up

Strongbows Legend 2.45 - 2nd 7/4

Time For Spring 3.55 - won 7/4

Baseball ted 4.30 - 2nd 11/2

Cross of Honour 5.30 - won 7/2

STRONGBOWS LEGEND is reportedly the most well handicapped horse in the Longdsen yard

The rest all have good chances based on the trainers comments

I probably wont back them all as I haven't had time to look at all the form but I will be watching the markets on these.

Riggins3.05 Y. Doesn't have a lot of luck as evidenced LTO in the Cambridgeshire. Easier task today

Thanks Chef, might have a look into purchasing a copy! Nights are closing in early now!

York 3.25 Swiss Spirit

Newmarket
3.10 Spiritual Star
4.25 Wading
5.00 Perennial
5.30 Bubble Chic *********

Another magnificent 7

and the last 1 had just the 1 winner? Why bother? If I laid em they'd win right enough.
York 2.50 Sadeek's Song
Newmarket:
2.35 Justineo
3.10 Most Improved
3.50 Tuscan Gold
4.25 Pimpernel
5.00 Moon Pearl
5.35 Premio Loco

Texas Jack looks fair value at 7/4 in the 15.40 maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse. He won the Land Rover bumper on his racecourse debut, readily beating Maller Tree, who has since shown himself to be very decent. Form comments of "quickened well" and "stayed on strongly" are encouraging. His trainer also likes to have his horses ready for this time of year.

Strong Suit in the next for me. Should be shorter in my opinion.

I like Bronterre in the Dewhurst with Most improved E/W.

Middle Park i'm in bigger on Bapak Chinta.

Never Can Tell in the Ces.

Small bets, long odds for me today. Bowdlers Magic3.50,Noodles Blue Boy 2.50 and Castles in the Air 4.05 All ew and in a multiple with one later in the week.

In the 2.20 I like Whozthecat to win and at a big price, Cadeaux Pearl e/w.
