Where would you rank Sivola de Sivola in the pantheon of Sivolas?

Peut Etre Sivola
Nine de Sivola
Poker de Sivola
Ping Pong Sivola
Reve de Sivola
Pur de Sivola

And how would you rank the Sivola clan against the Collonges clan or the du Cochets? Or the Sizing clan?

You missed several de Sivola's there including the impressive Urbaine de Sivola today.

I quite like the Collonges clan tbh Bar - particularly Neptune and his sisters Quadrette and Saturne.

Also worth considering the Conti clan too - Silviniaco Conti, Ucello Conti, Toscana Conti, Tom Conti :)

not to forget the Bucks...ala Big Bucks, Bucks Brook etc:cool:

Two bets today:

Twentyfourcarat (Towcester 1.35) looks the most solid favourite anywhere tomorrow at around 6/4 or better.

A hype horse has caught my eye in Titan De Santi. He had the favourite Empire Levant behind him when they met last year. At 10/1 I'm more than willing to take a chance the horse has improved as reported over the summer, even an improved round of jumping would see him get involved here.

Gowan Park 2.00. Strangely for the yard Micks has been off all his runs this year. If he's left run to his merits tomorrow than connections will devour the 6/1 on offer with Paddy Power. I've taken some each way, he's fully entitled to take the beating.

I like him as well.

Is there anything more depressing than waking in the morning only to see Pricewise has tipped all your fancies before you've had a penny on?

The question is what to do? I would have backed both Osric and Titan de Santi at 12s. Do I still back them at 8 or 9s? I actually think there is still mileage in those prices so probably will but it is unsatisfactory no matter what...

I have backed The Falklander in the 130 at Newbury. Was given an easy last time out-Jack Doyle has ridden 3 winners from his last 4 rides-first ride for Henry Daly since March 2009.
It pains me to see the 38 on Betfair but I have backed him for cash-win only

I pride myself on never missing a price. I took the 10/1 last night and the 6/1 Micks has been smashed up too. On the other hand the 6/4 on Betfair for Twentyfourcarat available last night on Betfair became 10/11 this morning with the books.

19 years ago today in my youthful enthusiasm I fancied Sibton Abbey at 100/1 for the Hennessy.Due to an amount of alcohol the night before I missed the 100s by minutes and 66s was the best available.I backed Chatham instead -Sibton lead all the way resisting some serious challenges.
At the time I was in my job paying 120 a week(in London) and I wanted to have a tenner each way.
That was a lesson learned.

I remember not having 25 e/w on a golfer 4 years ago when I missed the 100/1 and 80/1. I never quite recovered from it. .

It was. I've missed winners, plenty of them, since but never to the tune of €2.5k again.

I've just backed Titan De Sarti in the 2:05. As much as I like Empire Levant, TDS was highly regarded last year but was a little disappointing. Perhaps he was immature, babyish and green, but the word on the street is that he's made masses of improvement since then, so he's worth a few of my english pounds at 8/1.

Edited: Just read back and see others fancy him too. Let's hope we're right.

Underwriter in the last at Uttoxeter tomorrow. Dont' beleive they are running this horse for fresh and fun after such a long break. Best handciapped horse in the race bar the Peter Bowen trained favourite. I'll have a few bob on before the off.
