Tip for Katla 19.30 Naas...well fancied by connections and has form the equal if not better than anything in this field. 3yo have a great record in this race. 7/2 is fair

Thanks, trefflich, it was close but she deserved to win.

She wasn't wining out of turn anyway! At the furlong pole I thought she would win comfortably. But job done anyway! She's a dual listed winner at 2 and 3 now so worth a good few bob.

Sandown:

3.55: Three-year-olds have won three of the last four renewals with Sir Michael Stoute having trained two of those winners. Sir Michael is represented by three-year-old SHAMACAM on this occasion. 5/1

Manifestation looks the most interesting horse to me at Sandown in the second race. A half-brother to Sergeant Cecil, he looks all stamina himself and shaped well at Newbury last time, staying on well in a steadily-run 12f race. Has to be better at this trip and whilst he's not the only exposed horse in the race, I'm sure he's up to winning a handicap from his current mark.

LIMERICK - 19:20 Serve Time 10/1 Owners suppose to be expecting a good run from this horse. This is however second hand info

Fine shout, loosehead! Unfortunately I didn't follow you because just about every other horse in the race also seemed to be fancied, and that's how it looked turning into the straight, but your fellow won it well in the end.

Playtime again.

Ascot:
13:30 April Fool
14:05 Jack Who's He
15:15 Mariachi Man
15:50 Castles In The Air

I've gone for a speculative multiple bet on the O'Meara runners at York, which all seem to have a chance.

I can't work out the big race of the day but I'm looking forward to watching it.

Some really tight handicaps today which I find tempting. I am investing all of the profits from Gearoid's pick yesterday in attempt at glory or bust.

Seal Rock 3.20 Newmkt Y Alt Elusive Prince
Fathsta 3.40 York Y Cover Hoof It
Noble Citizen 3.50 Ascot Y Alts. Our Jonathan, Hawkeyethenoo
Illustrious Prince 5.20 York Y

All ew singles plus an ew Yankee plus fcasts

Certainly gives an interest. Particularly like the last named

Not very original, but both Burj Nahar and Gatewood look a cut above their opposition at Ascot today, and I've doubled them up at 13-8 each.

Burj Nahar got an exceptional ride last time and in my opinion is a prime candidate to bounce.Market liquidity is poor but I would have him as a serious place lay at anything under 1/2.

Carlisle 3:00 - This Lady amateur riders h'cap was introduced on the card two years ago and trainer Brian Ellison won both races comfortably. He has two runners in the race today and both look to have been laid out for the race.

Fujin Dancer improved 18lb over hurdles last season and looks better than the 7lb rise he was given for a comfortable win l/t/o, a race he had to win to guarantee a run here and his jockey has won 3 of his last four races on him.

Union Island was bought off Alan King in May and has had two runs for his current trainer. The first was over an inadequate trip of 1m before being upped to todays distance and finishing a close third. He know looks on a very competetive mark of 76 having run well off much higher marks in better h'caps in the past. His jockey won this race last year.

At 6/1 & 16/1 it's 2xsingles and a r/f/c for me.

I agree he could bounce but I thought the ride the last day was ordinary - he made it more difficult (& himself look better) than was needed.

He could be anything but I would have went for a listed race with him - little point in wasting a race on such a horse with another handicap.
