    Dubai World Cup 2012

I'm a big Await The Dawn fan but can't see him having the pace for this. I think for him to truely fulfill his potential it's gonna be over 12f or on dirt. Dark Shadow & Xtension my two against the field here. Gl everyone :):)

    Dubai World Cup 2012

Yep he looks v progressive also Aragorn, will definitely include him in my multiples and hopefully I'll have backed a winner by the time the Sheema Classic goes off so i can back him in a single as well

The Road To The 2012 Champion Hurdle

Right Euro just for you mate a Masters 2012 thread has magically appeared so no excuses for any golf/sports fans on Talking Horses not to be engaging in cultured & passionate debate about who's gonna be wearing the Green Jacket next Sunday night :lol: It's one of the few tournaments where...

    Dubai World Cup 2012

I second that MTHBWY- Bob is one of the game's real characters. Have a fantastic time in Dubai mate- v jealous I must admit :):) A cursory glance has thrown up the following for me- may back all of 'em just for the craic :lol: 2.10 Western Aristocrat 8/1 2.45 Barbican 10/1 4.00 Better...

The Road To The 2012 Champion Hurdle

Sadly have to agree with this. I first got in to racing through watching the Flat and I still enjoy the big meets but there is nothing to compare it to the romance and drama of the jumps. Anyone else suffering from the post-Cheltenham blues? I find I cope better as I get older :(:(

    Interesting Case

Worrying that this sort of treatment of horses is still going on.

    Outsider picks for Cheltenham

Oscars Well 25/1, Forpadydeplasterer 40/1 and Weird Al 20/1 will hopefully all give me a run for my money :D

Road to the Ryanair and all things Inbetween

Am also a big Noble Prince fan, a rock solid ew selection who will have his ideal conditions and has been laid out for this contest all season. Can't resist an ew tickle on Forpadydeplasterer 40/1!! This race could still cut up a little bit and a strongly run 2.5m on good ground round Chelt...

    Novice Chasers 2011-12

Agree 100%. Can't believe how this horse is being written off already, I still believe he can be a future Gold Cup contender. Sprinter Sacre looks truely spectacular but I think all racefans want to see him be given a race as opposed to a canter round :(

    Main Festival Hope

Love building up my antepost portfolio during the winter. Three most exciting ew bets for me are Cinders & Ashes 12/1, Weird Al 20/1 and Oscars Well 25/1, though the latter is playing for places only behind the mighty Fly :) Gl everyone, not long now :D:D

Road to the Gold Cup 2012

I'm not a huge Long Run fan but the trouble is when you narrow the Gold Cup field down to the realistic contenders he still has a massive chance of outstaying everyone up the hill again. Kauto at 12 in a strongly run 3m2f GC must be a doubt to truely see it out though it would be one of the...

    Ascot Chase

Have to say Medermit does look like a solid ew bet for me. Gl with all selections :)

The Road To The 2012 Champion Hurdle

Absolutely, looking like a cracker. Massive anticipation on the Fly's return and a chance for a few of the young pretenders to step up to the mark. Cannot wait meself. At least Sir Tom has joined me as the world's only Oscars Well fan so hopefully he can step up again on his previous run :):)

    The King George

Now that IS damning criticism

    The King George

:D V funny SS. What I meant, as I'm sure you know, was that compared to a Kauto or Best Mate at their peak he is not a real classy jumper and traveller imho. Kauto & Denman seemed to jump and travel better than him for large parts of the GC. What he does posess is a monster engine and he is...

    The King George

Agree with the above posts. Underrated horse imho, runs consistently well at the highest level and tomorrow represents an ideal opportunity for a confidence boosting win. I have backed him antepost at 20/1 ew for the KG. He generally seems to be outpaced at the business end over shorter trips...
