    Advice/help sort

Nice touch with the plaque and bench. I hope you had a nice day remembering your friend. To be perfectly honest, if you want action in these sorts of cases most Government departments will be next to useless; your best bet is to contact a firm of probate researchers or ''heir hunters'' -...

    Pathetic and Petty Betfair !!

Was told in a Paddy Power shop (in Ireland) the other day that in a little while they'll be requiring I/D and a utility bill for bets placed over the counter in shops of €200 or more or when collecting €2,000 or more.

https://www.racingpost.com/news/latest/paddy-power-apologise-for-not-including-well-backed-galway-winner-in-betting/394438 So four days later they 'move to rectify' matters when in reality it should have been done immediately. Very much doubt all the shop customers who backed the runner up will...

    Pathetic and Petty Betfair !!

Bottom line is the horse was a declared reserve, so should have been priced up. As he wasn't, he should have been ignored for settling purposes - i.e. anyone who backed the second should have been paid as a winner. For them not to do this is actually disgraceful in my view.

    Pathetic and Petty Betfair !!

Take your point, and I suppose if someone had written the name of the horse on a docket they may have been paid at SP. But given he was a reserve, and given he didn't appear listed on their screens in the betting at any stage it seems unlikely people would have done so. Even post race they...

    Pathetic and Petty Betfair !!

Happened to be in a Powers shop today to watch Galway. In the 2.45 race the winner, Mr. Smith, had got in as a reserve, however he at no point before the race was listed in the betting on any Paddy Power screen or betting odds terminal. They had a list of odds for all other horses, except him...

Currently in the Stewards Room trying to talk himself out of a lengthy ban. Incredible. Lord knows why he thought he had to bypass the fence. Unless someone on the infield let a roar out or something. Ruby said on RTE that Puppy Power was raging. Ruby didn't look too pleased himself.
